YOU MAY have thought they had forgotten their PE kit, but the 30 or so fun-runners were pounding the docks in their undies on purpose.

Hoping to help the people of Haiti, organiser of the Funny Undie Run, Ian Bradbury, above middle, decided he could raise more money by getting friends and colleagues to do a sponsored run with a difference. So far he has raised £9,000 and funds are still coming in.

The race took place last Friday during a busy lunchtime.

Colleagues and bemused tourists gathered around St Katharine Dock to support the group - some didn't know whether to clap or laugh.

The race kicked off at 1pm and, 15 minutes later winner Aaron Beard made it to the finish line.

The partici-pants of all abilities completed three laps of the dock, some sporting sexy lingerie, others in old-looking boxers but the person who stood out the most was Ian in a mankini.

Some competitors carried around buckets picking up money from spectators as they went around and once everyone got to the finish line, they headed down to Prohibition Bar to celebrate their achievement.
