WEST Ham's 23-man squad has touched down in China for 12 days of pre-season action.

Gianfranco Zola's Hammers arrived in Beijing on Monday ahead of exhibition matches against Tottenham and Hull City.

They have already spent time away at a training camp in Austria - and midfielder Jack Collison is pleased with the progress made so far this summer.

He said: "Things are slowly starting to come together for the new season. The past two weeks has been all about trying to get our fitness up and trying to get a bit more match practice.

"(Austria) was hard work but we are fully fit and in a really good frame of mind.
